"Pick a Tune"

I just had some fun with the hot glue gun and a bottle of toothpicks. It is made of toothpicks, twine, washers, a watch loop, and acrylic paint for the eyes and mouth. I named it "Pick a Tune" because it reminds me of a banjo player or a member of a barbershop quartet.

Painted glass. "Please"

This is acrylic paint on the glass of an old window. I left a lot of negative space on purpose because I liked how the puppy turned out. I call it "please" because he looks like he is begging to come into the house.

Mixed Media Painting

This is an old window that I got from my neighbors when they got new windows. It kind of looks like a waterfall so, I went with that. Its acrylic paint on a glass window and I hot glued twine onto the wood.

Fun with Charcoal

These are some portraits that I did for my family. Great gift idea that don't cost nothing but time

Acrylic on paper sack!!!

Everything I see, I see as a canvas. These 2 pieces are acrylic on card stock and glued to brown paper sacks. I wanted to paint the brown paper sacks but I was afraid that the paint would wrinkle the paper so I painted the card stock and then glued it to the sack. I really love how I blended the sky with my finger. I used my finger a lot to blend the colors.

Mixed Media Idea

With this one, I glued a lot of tooth picks onto card stock and painted it with acrylic paint. I just wanted to paint on an unusual surface.

Cut Canvas

I took this old canvas and cut out a tree and a cat. I had to glue a Popsicle stick to the back of the cat to make it stand up. I painted it with acrylic paint. I plan on making a frame and added it to the back so I can add some background colors. I mostly like the shadow that it makes.
